I am currently almost three weeks into the process of trying to transfer my old domain from UK2 to FVS. I am now stuck at the stage where FVS say they are sending a request for confirmation to me, as domain admin, via contactprivacy.com. Unfortunately, I have received nothing at all, despite two attempts by FVS.
I have checked that I am listed as contact for each of the three sections for the domain - i.e. admin etc, and this seems to be ok. I also tried using the contactprivacy.com site directly to send myself a mail and that worked fine. At UK2's suggestion I also checked that the privacy settings on my WHOIS were disabled, to permit free access - even though this had not prevented my contactprivacy test mail from getting through to me. As you can imagine, this is all getting a bit annoying; my site has been awol for almost three weeks, which is not good. Has anybody else experienced this problem, or got some suggestion as to how I might sort the mess out? |
